A sustainably grown flower, available for every type of customer, made in a family business with years of knowledge and a continuous focus on stable quality. These are reasons enough to buy Alstroemeria from Tesselaar.
Our mission is to make people happy with the groundbreaking alstroemeria. And we like to do this in collaboration with our customers.
The alstroemeria is a commercially usable flower that has a long shelf life. The flower always opens, so there is no loss on the shop floor. It is a sustainably produced cutflower, with lower greenhouse temperature, fewer light hours and almost complete use of biological control. The alstroemeria will put a smile on the faces of its recipients. And we are busy to deliver that smile every day!
Tesselaar Alstroemeria continuously aims to grow flowers without a negative impact on the environment. That is why we calculate our environmental footprint annually and are continuously working on improvements. Tesselaar Alstroemeria annually obtains its certificates for MPS, MPS GAP (quality) and MPS Socially Qualified (good working conditions). Basically, the alstroemeria is a sustainable flower: lower greenhouse temperature and fewer light hours required than other cut flowers. We keep cultivation under control by using natural pest control agents, only in the event of a pest/virus we have to intervene with artificial means. The alstroemeria is a long flower that grows from rhizomes, the remainder of the stems are left in the greenhouse as fertilizer. Every year Tesselaar produces 36 million stems, the emmissions per stem can be seen at Product Range.
